Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to optimize and troubleshoot mineral extraction and refinement processes, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency at the Durban site.

You will mentor junior engineers, work with site teams, and implement process modifications to improve yield, reduce energy use, and minimize waste in a demanding heavy industry environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in process engineering within mining or heavy industry.
• Experience with process simulation, modeling and optimization techniques.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, chemical reactions and fluid dynamics in mineral processing.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to work under pressure.
