Placements24 in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead design and execution of complex chemical projects from our Pretoria offices. This role focuses on conceptualization, design, and implementation, ensuring technical specs, budget, and timelines are met in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• At least 8 years in process design and project engineering in chemical industries.
• Proven track record delivering large capital projects.
• Expertise in process simulation, HAZOP and risk management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of chemical processes for new facilities and expansions.
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring successful project delivery from initiation to close-out.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for engineering designs and project proposals.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and operations personnel.
