Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with a specialty chemicals focus to join our Port Elizabeth operations. You will lead design, optimization, and troubleshooting, driving safety, quality, and efficiency across production lines.

Ideal candidates hold a Chemical Engineering degree with 7+ years in process engineering, proficient in Aspen HYSYS/ChemCAD, and capable of PHAs and risk management. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in process engineering focusing on specialty chemicals.
• Experience with GMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, modification, and optimization of processes for manufacturing specialty chemicals.
• Develop process simulations, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct PHAs and implement risk management strategies.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and improve yield and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and R&D to ensure product quality and seamless integration.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
