Job summary

Fempower Personnel in Johannesburg seeks a Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer to act as technical SME across mining projects on a fixed-term contract based in Johannesburg, with occasional site travel fully covered by the company.

The role requires 12+ years of C&I experience, EPCM exposure, and licensing with ECSA. You will lead design reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, and support multi-disciplinary project delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant C&I engineering experience.
• Mining project experience is mandatory.
• EPCM experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of regulations, codes and manufacturing standards.
• Experience estimating project costs and writing proposal content.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME on all C&I engineering matters.
• Ensure adherence to engineering/design practices and regulatory requirements.
• Support standardization of instrumentation specifications, drawings, and templates.
• Participate in bid clarifications, evaluations, and vendor reviews.
• Review and authorize work done by direct reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project success.
