Placements24 is seeking a Senior Power Systems Protection Engineer for an on-site role in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will design, analyze, and commission protection schemes to safeguard the electrical grid, including relay configurations and fault studies.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on power system protection experience.
• Deep knowledge of protective relaying for transformers, lines, generators, and motors.
• Proficient with power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, ETAP, and ASPEN.
• Experience commissioning and field testing protection systems.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement protection schemes for transmission and distribution networks.
• Conduct fault analysis, stability, and coordination studies using standard software.

• Develop protection system documentation including logic diagrams and settings.
