• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems focus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in power system protection engineering.
• Experience with digital protective relays from major manufacturers (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens).
• Proficiency with ETAP, PSS/E, or DigSILENT PowerFactory.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, configure, and commission protective relaying schemes for power systems including substations, transmission lines, and generators.
• Develop and maintain protection settings files based on system studies and fault analysis.
• Perform power system studies (short-circuit, load flow, transient stability) to inform protection design.
• Analyze disturbances and protection operations, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
• Specify protective relays, current transformers, potential transformers, and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards for power system protection.
• Develop and execute testing procedures for protective relays and schemes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians and operations personnel.
• Collaborate with grid planning and operations teams to integrate new infrastructure and ensure adequate protection.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in protection technology and methodologies.
