Job summary

Network Finance in Pretoria seeks a senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead high-power converter and inverter hardware design and validation. The role covers development, testing, and troubleshooting for systems above 10kW, with emphasis on control, thermal design, and reliability.

The ideal candidate will apply MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE tools, perform hands-on lab work, and ensure compliance with automotive/industrial standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of power electronics engineering experience.
• Strong hardware design, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing products exceeding 10kW.
• Knowledge of control systems, thermal design, magnetics, and high-power PCB layouts.
• Proficient with MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, LTSpice or equivalents.
• Hands-on lab testing and debugging experience.
• Exposure to EMC/ EMI, environmental, reliability, and compliance testing.
• Experience with automotive or industrial standards and certification processes.
