Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics.
5+ years of industry experience in power electronics design.
Strong theoretical knowledge of power converter topologies and control.
Hands-on experience with component selection, circuit design, and laboratory testing.
Experience with EMC design and testing is a plus.
Proficiency with simulation software and schematic capture tools.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-efficiency power electronic circuits and systems (e.g., DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, inverters).
Select appropriate power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, GaN) and passive components.

This role demands deep expertise in power semiconductor devices, control algorithms, and circuit design. You will work within a highly skilled R&D team, contributing to the development of next-generation products that push the boundaries of efficiency and performance in the electronics industry in Gauteng .
