Job summary

Barloworld Equipment is seeking an analytics leader to own the Power BI reporting function in Cape Town. You will guide design, governance, and delivery of trusted insights, while mentoring BI professionals and aligning outputs with business needs.

You will work with data engineers and governance teams to ensure secure, scalable data and KPIs. Strong leadership, DAX, SQL, and cloud data platform experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Analytics, Information Systems, BI, CS or equivalent.
• Extensive Power BI experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong semantic modelling and DAX expertise.
• Experience in analytics leadership or senior technical role.
• SQL knowledge and data platform experience (Azure/Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Define analytics standards, models, and deployment practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI teams.
• Ensure quality assurance across reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with data engineering and governance teams on trusted data.
• Engage stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting needs.
• Ensure data governance, security, and reporting standards.
• Drive adoption of Power BI across the organization.
