You will oversee initiation to closure, develop detailed plans, manage budgets, and coordinate engineers, contractors, and vendors to deliver on time and to spec.

The role requires a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with at least 10 years in civil PM, including 5 in water and sanitation.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with at least 5 years in water and sanitation infrastructure.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects in South Africa.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes, distribution networks, and wastewater management systems.
• Excellent knowledge of PM methodologies (PMBOK) and software (MS Project, Primavera).
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr Eng, Pr CPM) is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Strong financial acumen and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of water and sanitation infrastructure projects in Rustenburg, North West.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage project finances, ensuring cost control and profitability.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and support staff.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including government authorities, clients, and community representatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and clients.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and address any issues.
