Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead water and sanitation projects in Upington, Northern Cape. You will drive end-to-end delivery, oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling and stakeholder management, while ensuring HSE compliance and contract performance.

The role requires a Civil/Water engineering background, 10+ years PM experience, and the ability to manage multiple large projects in a hybrid work setting. Travel to project sites will be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng) desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience, focused on water and sanitation projects.
• Proven track record delivering multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment, wastewater, pipe networks and dam engineering.
• Experience with PM methodologies and software (MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Willingness to travel to Upington region and operate in a hybrid model.

Responsabilités

• Oversee end-to-end management of water and sanitation projects from feasibility to commissioning.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, budget, schedule, resources and risk.
• Lead project teams of engineers, technicians and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations and client specs.
• Control costs, monitor expenditures, and manage finances.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders for alignment and communication.
• Implement HSE protocols on all sites and enforce safety standards.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment and services.
• Prepare and present regular status reports and financial reviews.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful outcomes.
