Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This critical role will involve conducting rigorous testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and safety of our client's pharmaceutical offerings, working within a state-of-the-art laboratory environment that fosters innovation and scientific excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of analytical techniques and a commitment to upholding the highest levels of quality assurance in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of analytical tests on pharmaceutical products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and titration.
• Develop and validate new analytical methods as required, ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
• Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records, prepare comprehensive test reports, and manage sample traceability.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and regulatory affairs teams to address quality-related issues and support product development lifecycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related life science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory setting.
• Proven expertise in various analytical instrumentation and methodologies, particularly HPLC and GC .
• Thorough understanding of South African pharmaceutical regulations , GMP, and GLP guidelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and scientific report writing.
