Job summary

Innovazi Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage weekly and monthly payrolls in Gauteng. You will capture payroll data, process new hires, terminations, salary changes and other amendments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with SA regulations.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience, strong Sage 300 Payroll skills, and proficiency in time and attendance systems.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 – Essential.
• Diploma or Degree in HR, Payroll or related field – Essential.
• Minimum 5 years’ practical payroll experience – Essential.
• Proven experience processing both weekly and monthly payrolls – Essential.
• Strong Sage 300 Payroll experience – Essential.
• Experience with time and attendance systems.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
• Sound understanding of South African payroll requirements.
• Previous HR administration experience.
• Strong MS Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent numerical ability, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Manufacturing experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
• Capture and maintain payroll information.
• Process new employees, terminations, salary changes, promotions, transfers and other payroll amendments.
• Process overtime, allowances, deductions, commissions and other payroll-related transactions.
• Perform payroll checks, reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and information as required.
• Manage and maintain time and attendance information.
• Monitor attendance, absenteeism, leave and overtime records.
• Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR documentation.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Assist with general HR administration and employee queries.
• Provide administrative support to the Group HR Manager.
• Assist with audits, reports and HR/payroll projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.
• Provide general departmental support as required.
