Job summary

A Well-established Dealership in Stellenbosch seeks an experienced Parts Manager with at least 5 years in automotive parts at a franchised dealership to join their team. You will lead the Parts department, drive stock integrity and ensure premium service delivery.

You will manage procurement, supplier relations, and budget performance, while guiding a team to grow retail, trade and wholesale parts sales and improve gross margin.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive parts at a franchised dealership, including 3 years in a parts dept. management.
• Experience with stock control, ageing/obsolete stock, and discrepancy resolution.
• Experience with budgets, targets and gross profit in a parts department.
• Experience with dealer management systems (CDK/Autoline/Kerridge) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the Parts team; set objectives and workloads.
• Deliver premium customer experience with accurate parts identification and quotes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OEM training and audits.
• Manage stock levels, stock turn, ageing/obsolescence, stocktakes and returns.
• Procure from authorized suppliers, manage back orders and lead times.
• Coordinate with Service to supply parts on time and minimise downtime.
• Grow retail, trade and wholesale parts sales while protecting margins.
• Track turnover, gross profit and stock investment; report to Dealer Principal.
