Placements24 is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor for our Vereeniging facility to oversee daily warehouse and logistics activities, drive efficiency, safety, and productivity, and lead a motivated team.

You will coordinate receiving, warehousing, and distribution, optimize layouts, monitor KPIs, and implement process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics/operations studies advantageous.
• 5+ years in warehouse/logistics with supervisory experience preferred; proven leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse and logistics operations within the facility.
• Direct the work of warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to schedules.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement and enforce health, safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Train and mentor new team members on procedures and safety practices.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
• Liaise with management to report on operational status and resolve issues.
