Placements24 seeks a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer in Sandton, Gauteng to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. You will lead initiatives, security policies, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure high availability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 7+ years in network engineering, and certifications such as CCIE or CISSP, with strong TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
• CCIE/JNCIE/CISSP certifications are highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot to ensure high availability and optimal user experience.
• Develop and enforce network security policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate network with systems.
• Conduct audits and performance tuning to maintain efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Manage vendor relationships and SLAs.
