Placements24 seeks a Senior Network Infrastructure Manager to lead design, deployment, and ongoing management of a large enterprise network in Rustenburg. You will guide a team of engineers, ensure security, reliability, and scalability, and align initiatives with business goals.

The role requires 8+ years in network engineering with 3+ years in management, strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF, cloud networking, SDN, and budgeting experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in network engineering and infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls, load balancing, and network security.
• Proven experience with large-scale enterprise network design, implementation, and operation.
• Strong cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SDN concepts.
• Experience managing complex projects and budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment balancing remote and on-site requirements in Rustenburg.
• Relevance certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, data centers, cloud).
• Develop and execute strategic network architecture plans aligned with business goals.
• Manage a team of network engineers and technicians; foster high performance and development.
• Oversee network operations including monitoring, performance tuning, and incident response.
• Ensure security and integrity of network infrastructure through robust policies.
• Manage vendor/service provider relationships and SLAs.
• Develop and manage the network budget for cost-effectiveness.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate new technologies.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the network team.
