Job summary
Placements24 seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and secure our Paarl-based network infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance. You will mentor junior staff and lead complex projects, collaborating with IT for upgrades and expansion. The role requires 5+ years in network engineering, strong TCP/IP and routing expertise, and Cisco/Juniper experience.
CCNA/CCNP is desirable. Hybrid work setup available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Networking or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in network engineering and administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and security.
- Experience with Cisco or Juniper hardware.
- CCNA/CCNP certification is desirable.
- Experience with network monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network solutions (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
- Monitor performance and optimize network throughput.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues with minimal downtime.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Develop and enforce network security policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams for upgrades and expansions.
