Job summary

ATS Client is seeking a Network Senior Engineer for a 12 month contract in Centurion. You will design and deploy LAN/WAN and wireless networks, monitor performance, and implement security protocols.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud integration and data center operations, lead upgrades, and mentor junior engineers. You should have a strong background in Cisco/Juniper platforms, extensive TCP/IP knowledge, and cloud networking experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field (Masters preferred).
• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or similar platforms.
• Proficient with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF and more.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid envs.
• Certs such as CCNP/CCIE/JNCIP or equivalent highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues for uptime and reliability.
• Implement and manage VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS and security protocols.
• Collaborate on cloud integration, data center ops, and remote connectivity.
• Lead network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on projects.
• Stay current with technologies and suggest improvements for efficiency and security.
