Job summary

ATS Client is seeking an experienced networking leader to manage and advance Africa-wide infrastructure. You will guide design, security, and operations for enterprise networks, including firewalls, switching, Wi‑Fi, and cloud services.

The role demands hands‑on governance, project leadership, and vendor management across regional sites. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in IT with 5+ years in enterprise network infrastructure; mining industry experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Certifications: A+, N+, CCNE (or similar), ITIL 4.
• 7+ years IT experience including 5+ years in enterprise network infrastructure.
• Mining industry experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and evaluate network infrastructure projects and operations (firewalls, routers, switches, Wi‑Fi, IP telephony, cabling, cameras).
• Handle high‑priority incidents and troubleshoot complex network issues with service providers.
• Provide design, implementation, and security guidance across infrastructure, including cloud platforms (M365/AWS).
• Identify risks, implement controls, and report on gaps with remediation plans.
• Drive technology improvements and support strategic and tactical planning.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and project delivery.
• Oversee budgets and resource allocation.
