Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Johannesburg is seeking a Network Specialist to maintain and manage the company’s network infrastructure. You will monitor performance and ensure systems run optimally, with accountability for uptime and security.

You will also oversee IT tasks including server maintenance, software updates, and troubleshooting, applying 5 years of Cisco and routing experience to support L2/L3 protocols such as OSPF and reliable wireless, router, and switch operations.

Qualifications

• 5 years in an operational role with Cisco administration and equipment.
• 5 years network infrastructure experience.
• 5 years network operations management.
• 5 years vendor management.
• 5 years understanding of Firewall integration into network services.
• In depth knowledge of L2 and L3 routing with emphasis on OSPF.
• Day to day Operational administration of network infrastructure, including Routers, Switches and Wireless infrastructure.
• 5 years of experience in an Information Technology position.
