M-KOPA Mobility is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to scale our event-driven microservices powering riders and entrepreneurs across Africa. This 12-month fixed-term contract may extend or transition to permanent.

You will build backend systems in C# .NET, using Azure, Service Bus, Kubernetes and Docker, with a strong emphasis on observability, automated testing and DevOps practices. Join a mission-driven team delivering financial inclusion and climate impact, collaborating across Africa, Europe

Qualifikationen

• Strong grasp of C# .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems – Service Bus or similar messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Experience with Azure or other major clouds (AWS/GCP).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Testing and deployment expertise.
• DevOps culture mindset.
• Experience with AI coding tools, ideally Claude Code.
