M-KOPA Ltd is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to scale our Mobility platform. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential extension, offering fully remote work across UTC-1 to UTC+3 and collaboration with teams in the UK, Europe, and Africa.

You will build event-driven microservices in .NET, using Service Bus, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices. The position emphasizes observability, testing, and DevOps culture within a fast-growing e-mobility business.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of C# .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Microservices architecture experience.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud providers (AWS/GCP).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker for deployment.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Testing and deployment expertise across environments.
• DevOps culture mindset.
• Experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code or similar).

Responsibilities

• Build sophisticated event-driven microservices powering M-KOPA Mobility.
• Own solutions end-to-end from architecture to production monitoring.
• Work with cutting-edge .NET development in a purpose-driven fintech environment.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure scalable, reliable backend systems.
