M-KOPA is hiring a permanent Senior Backend Engineer to join our Asset Sales group. You will design and operate distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure, owning end-to-end delivery in a global, AI-enabled engineering environment.

You’ll work in a fully remote, GMT-aligned setting with teams across the UK, Europe and Africa, focusing on scalable systems that empower Everyday Earners with credit products and AI-native workflows. Join us to shape inclusive fintech.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of C# and .NET development.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Azure Service Bus preferred).
• Microservices architecture experience on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with observability tooling (Grafana, Application Insights).
• Comfort using AI tools as part of daily engineering workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed C#/.NET microservices on Azure in an event-driven architecture.
• Own end-to-end delivery from idea to production and iteration.
• Collaborate across time zones in a distributed team.
• Adopt DevOps practices including on-call and production ownership.
