Job summary

Jobgether is assisting a fintech partner in finding a Senior .NET Developer to join a fully remote backend team in South Africa. You will build scalable microservices for payment processing, reconciliations, payouts, and fee calculations, leveraging Azure, containers, and AI-assisted tooling.

You will own backend services, review AI-generated code, implement testing, and contribute to architectural decisions in a product-driven environment with international collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development with C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience designing and developing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure, Docker, and AKS.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to deliver tasks.
• Ability to understand and explain every line of code, including AI-generated code.
• Commitment to clean, maintainable code and automated testing.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and reliability in technical roles.
• Clear communication when addressing challenges or defects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for payment processing and back-office operations.
• Design resilient integrations and asynchronous workflows (idempotency, outbox/inbox, sagas).
• Build microservices to meet latency and SLA/SLO targets.
• Implement monitoring, alerts, and operational practices for availability.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness and security with tests.
• Write clean code and automated tests to ensure quality.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical specifications.
• Take ownership of deliverables and address defects proactively.
