Job summary

Idbasesoftware is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (.NET & AWS) to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise-grade applications using .NET Core and AWS.

You will work in a collaborative Agile environment, embracing cloud-native architectures to deliver robust, high-performance software solutions. Remote-friendly with Johannesburg and Cape Town options, and a focus on continual learning.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development with .NET Core / .NET 6+.
• Strong proficiency in C# and OO programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+.
• Build microservices-based architectures with reusable components.
• Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• Write RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end systems.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications.
• CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes / EKS.
• Monitor and optimize application performance with AWS CloudWatch.
• Maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated test frameworks.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and support team growth.
