Job summary

ATS Client in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking a senior software engineer to lead large-scale .NET projects, drive architecture, mentor developers, and deliver innovative solutions using the latest Microsoft technologies.

You will shape technical strategy, collaborate with product, UX, QA and development teams, and ensure high-quality applications across web, mobile and desktop environments. The role offers a flexible hybrid/remote work arrangement for balance and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of software development experience
• At least 7 years hands-on experience with .NET technologies
• Strong knowledge of .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, Entity Framework, and C#
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Experience with performance optimisation, scalability, and security best practices
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker
• Experience with Blazor and .NET MAUI would be highly advantageous
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular is beneficial
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET, and C#
• Lead the architecture and development of scalable software solutions
• Drive coding standards, best practices, and CI/CD processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and scalability challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful solutions
• Mentor and support developers within the team
• Research and implement new technologies and development approaches
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and long-term strategic planning
