Job summary

FirstRand Limited in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Murex Integration Engineer to design, develop and support Murex MX.3 interfaces. You will implement MxML workflows, configure mappings, and ensure stable day-to-day operation of critical trade and market data interfaces.

The role requires hands-on experience with Murex components, SQL query skills, Unix/Linux proficiency and scripting in Java or Python. Expect collaboration with multiple tech teams in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
5+ years’ experience with Murex MX.3 in technical/integration roles.
3+ years’ hands-on experience with Murex integration components.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure and maintain Murex MX.3 integration solutions.
Build inbound/outbound interfaces between Murex and upstream/downstream systems.
Develop MxML import/export workflows and monitor production interfaces.
Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Participate in release cycles, testing and configuration management.
Automate operational tasks and contribute to CI/CD practices.
