Job summary

Collinson Group seeks an experienced Senior D365 Finance & Operations specialist to own the technical support and operational health of Microsoft Dynamics 365 across the organisation. You will lead system stability, security, integrations, and change control; mentor a functional analyst and collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to continuously improve D365 capabilities.

Strong background in multi-entity or multi-currency environments, SQL, Python/PowerShell, and advanced Excel/Power

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on D365 F&O support in technical or application roles.
• Strong grasp of D365 architecture: security, integrations, batch processing, data entities.
• Proficient in SQL, database analysis, and scripting (Python or PowerShell).
• Experience with release, incident, testing, and change control processes.
• Microsoft Dynamics certification or ERP accreditation is desirable.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills to analyse operational data.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-currency environments is an advantage.
• Excellent communication across technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Senior technical support for D365 Finance & Operations: service stability, issue resolution, system availability.
• Day-to-day operational management: integrations, access provisioning, permissions, batch jobs, backups, environment support.
• Complex incident troubleshooting: root cause analysis and permanent fixes to reduce recurrence.
• Change and release support: gathering technical requirements, coordinating testing, validating deployments, and managing transition into support.
• Stakeholder and vendor collaboration: enhancing D365 capabilities and aligning solutions to business needs.
• Security and compliance administration: role-based access control, data protection, audit support.
• Documentation: maintaining high-quality technical procedures, support guides, and knowledge articles.
• Mentoring: guiding and developing the functional analyst.
• Proactive improvement: analysing logs, telemetry, and support trends to identify and act on opportunities.
• Reporting: producing service updates, technical summaries, and operational reporting.
