Job summary

Sanlam seeks a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant to lead functional design, configuration, and governance of the Dynamics 365 platform within Sanlam Life and Savings. You will translate business needs into scalable, upgrade-safe configurations, collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Lead, and QA, and ensure alignment with Microsoft release waves.

Qualifications

3–7+ years’ experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM / CE) in a functional consulting capacity.
Hands-on configuring entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, queues, cases, SLA/KPI, and security roles.
End-to-end business analysis, requirements gathering, and translating requirements into functional/technical specs.

Responsibilities

Own the functional design and configuration of the Dynamics 365 platform, including entities, forms, views, and security roles.
Translate business requirements into optimised Dynamics 365 configurations prioritising standard capabilities.
Design solutions maximising out-of-the-box capabilities, with minimal customisation.
Ensure configuration is scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-safe.
Lead functional discovery and design workshops with stakeholders and delivery teams.
Collaborate with developers, QA, and product owners to ensure clear functional specs and test coverage.
