Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support a mining fleet in Kimberley. You will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, perform preventative maintenance and lead by example in safety and quality workmanship.

The role requires a trade qualification and at least five years of hands-on experience with heavy earth-moving equipment in mining or construction. A valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

Trade qualification in diesel mechanics or auto electrical work.
Minimum 5 years' experience on heavy earth-moving equipment in mining or construction.
Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills and safety focus.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair complex issues on excavators, haul trucks and loaders.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to prevent failures.
Read schematics and manuals to guide procedures and repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and time spent.
Mentor junior technicians and uphold safety standards.
