Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer / Study Manager to join our Mining & Metals team in Johannesburg. The role combines mining engineering technical leadership with study management, coordinating inputs from multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust and commercially sound solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead conceptual, scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, engaging with clients and senior stakeholders while ensuring safety, constructability and economic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Significant professional mining industry experience, preferably in consulting, engineering or EPCM environments.
• Demonstrated experience in development and delivery of mining studies.
• Strong knowledge of project development lifecycle from concept through PFS/FS to execution.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining studies through concepts, scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility stages.
• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams and manage study scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support business development activities.
• Review and guide technical design and risk assessments to improve project value.
