Hatch in Johannesburg seeks a Senior Mining Engineer / Study Manager to lead mining studies across the project lifecycle, combining technical mining expertise with study management and client engagement to deliver robust, practical solutions.

You will lead conceptual to feasibility studies, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe, commercially sound outcomes for greenfield and brownfield projects in Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Significant professional mining industry experience; consulting/engineering/EPCM preferred.
• Experience delivering mining studies across lifecycle (concept to execution).

Responsibilities

• Lead mining studies through conceptual/scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility stages.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across mining, engineering, project controls, procurement and other disciplines.
• Provide senior technical review and guidance to mining engineers and project teams.
• Ensure studies deliver technical quality and meet client expectations.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to drive value and project outcomes.
