Job summary

Sandvik Mining in Mpumalanga seeks a seasoned specialist to provide technical support in Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance, ensuring machines run reliably and cost-efficiently while supporting customer relations and teamwork.

You will plan and supervise maintenance activities, coordinate with sales, HR, finance, and logistics, and lead a team of contract management professionals to deliver on-time outcomes in demanding underground mining environments.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification or equivalent.
• Proof of Training / Modules / POE / Apprenticeship documentation.
• Basic computer literacy including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Mining experience in underground production environments.
• Willingness to work shifts and be away from home for the duration of the shift.
• Medical fitness to work in a demanding mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritise and schedule the team’s activities to use resources effectively and meet targets.
• Monitor sales and services activities to identify problems and improve performance.
• Liaise with area managers to integrate activities with business needs and future initiatives.
• Oversee complex contracts to maintain positive customer relations.
• Lead and develop contract management professionals to ensure on-time completion.
