Job summary

Sasol Secunda invites applications for an experienced Maintenance Engineering Lead to oversee the maintenance processes within the mining area, enabling production targets while upholding QCDSM principles. The role focuses on planning, cost control and reliability across equipment and infrastructure.

You will lead condition monitoring, root cause analysis and predictive maintenance, drive safety performance, coach teams, and ensure SOP alignment with governance bodies.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate / Full N3/NCV Level 4 with Mathematics, Physical/Engineering Science and Business English.
• Occupational Trade Qualification/Certificate (Electro Mechanic).
• Experience: 6+ relevant years.

Responsibilities

• Manage and carry out engineering and maintenance strategies and overhaul plans to meet KPI targets and maintenance needs.
• Manage maintenance budget and costs within the appointed area.
• Ensure equipment availability by controlling downtime, MTTR/MTTF, and adherence to maintenance programmes.
• Develop and implement SOPs and ensure compliance with engineering governance and standards.
• Lead condition monitoring programs and perform root cause analysis and predictive maintenance actions.
