Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Mine Surveyor for our client in Klerksdorp, North West. You will establish and maintain underground survey control networks and provide data for stoping and reconciliation.

Requires a Mine Surveying degree, CoC, and at least 5 years of underground experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Surpac, Leica software and strong safety performance is essential.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain primary and secondary survey control networks underground.
• Conduct regular surveys of development ends, stopes, and production areas.
• Monitor and record excavations, services, and geological structures.
• Prepare detailed survey plans, sections, and reports for mine planning and management.
• Perform reconciliation of surveyed volumes against production records.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments, including total stations, theodolites, and GPS equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to underground surveying.
• Assist in setting out drilling targets and production faces.

Requirements

• A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mine Surveying or a related field.
• A valid Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, with significant exposure to underground operations.
• Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment and associated software (e.g., AutoCAD, Surpac, Leica software).
• Strong understanding of underground surveying principles and practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding underground mining environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to work in Klerksdorp .
