The role centers on long-term planning and optimization of mining operations, developing comprehensive mine plans, feasibility studies, and evaluating mining methods to maximize value while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in mine planning and design with long-term planning focus.
Experience with mine planning software and economic evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain long-term mine plans (5-20 years).
Perform geological modeling and resource block analyses.
Evaluate mining methods (open pit/underground) based on geology and economics.
Conduct cash flow and sensitivity analyses for planning scenarios.
Collaborate with geotechnical, geological and operations teams.
Optimize sequences, scheduling and production to maximize NPV and minimize costs.
Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
Prepare technical reports and management presentations.
Stay updated on mine planning technology and methods.
