Job summary

Sasol Limited seeks a Senior Drilling Assistant to supervise shift operations and support drilling activities at our Secunda site. The role focuses on safe, compliant, and timely execution of mining tasks and maintenance of accurate shift documentation.

You will assist the driller, plot and update drilling maps, and ensure effective utilisation of resources while maintaining SHE standards. Strong decision-making and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant mining/drilling experience.
• MOCC and Blasting Certificate required.
• Mathematics and Science at least at standard school level.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift/plant operations to meet safety & performance targets.
• Maintain housekeeping and identify hazards for safe mining operations.
• Write shift reports and maintain drilling maps.
• Assist driller in control room and during hole operations.
• Ensure work standards meet quantity, quality and schedule.
• Plan, organize, and control own work and report results.
