Job summary

Headhunters in Vereeniging, Gauteng, seeks an experienced Millwright to join our client’s water-treatment operations. The successful candidate will maintain and repair complex electromechanical systems, ensuring uptime and compliance with MHSA/OHSA.

Requirements include a Section 13/26D Millwright certificate, 5+ years in large installations, strong electrical skills, and PLC/SCADA experience. Valid driver’s license and own transport are preferred.

Qualifications

• Section 13 or 26D Millwright trade certificate required.
• Minimum 5 years in maintenance of large electrical and mechanical installations.
• Strong electrical background with accurate troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with SCADA and PLC control systems; field instrumentation advantageous.
• Willingness to safety appointments per MHSA and OHSA; valid driver’s license or own transport.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electro‑mechanical equipment to ensure uptime.
• Attend breakdowns and prioritise urgent repairs.
• Plan routine servicing and preventive maintenance activities.
• Monitor plant condition and apply preventive maintenance strategies.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support cross-site activities and asset management using MaintainX or similar systems.
