Job summary

University of Fort Hare seeks a skilled Millwright for a permanent role based in Secunda & Nkomati, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will perform electro-mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot SCADA/PLC systems, and ensure safe, high-quality service on large installations.

Qualifications

• Qualified Millwright with apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Section 13/26D Trade Test certificate as Millwright (Electromechanician).
• 5+ years in maintenance of large electrical and mechanical installations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform routine servicing, repairs and preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment.
• Attend breakdowns and prioritize jobs promptly, ensuring safety and quality.
• Maintain documentation and engage in problem-solving with clients and team.
