Job summary

Sheldon Recruitment And Selection is seeking a qualified Millwright for a heavy industrial/mining environment in Mpumalanga. The role requires a strong electrical background, extensive pump and SCADA/PLC experience, and the ability to diagnose complex failures under pressure.

Applicants should have a valid Section 13 or 26D Trade Test and at least five years of relevant maintenance experience, with willingness to travel and work standby shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Millwright with apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Section 13 or 26D Trade Test as Millwright (Electromechanician).
• 5+ years in maintenance of large electrical and mechanical installations.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and prioritize jobs promptly.
• Plan and perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping standards incl. MHSA & OHSA.
• Maintain asset registers and use CMMS (MaintainX).
• Assist with equipment specifications, sourcing, and quality control.
