About the Role

Our client, a leading international financial services group, is seeking to appoint a highly accomplished Senior Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Lawyer to strengthen their corporate legal team. This role, based in **Randburg, Gauteng**, offers a significant opportunity for an experienced M&A professional to lead complex transactions and contribute to the strategic growth of the organization. The Senior M&A Lawyer will be responsible for managing the legal aspects of M&A deals, including due diligence, transaction structuring, drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements, and advising on post-merger integration. The position demands exceptional legal acumen, strong commercial awareness, and a proven track record of successfully managing high-value transactions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all legal aspects of M&A transactions, from origination to closing.
• Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence on target companies.
• Structure M&A transactions and advise on optimal legal and commercial terms.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent.
• Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.

• Proven experience in leading complex, multi-jurisdictional M&A deals.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate law, securities law, competition law, and financial services regulations.
