Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer to lead design and coordination of MEP systems for high-rise buildings in Pretoria. The role demands extensive experience in MEP design and project management, strong leadership, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team.

You will oversee load calculations, system sizing, energy analysis, and preparation of drawings and tender documents, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA.
• 7+ years of MEP design and project management for high-rise buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Trace 700 and Dialux.
• Knowledge of SANS codes and international standards for MEP.
• Energy efficiency and sustainable design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of MEP systems for high-rise buildings.
• Conduct load calculations, system sizing and energy analysis.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Coordinate MEP with architecture, structures and other services.
• Oversee on-site MEP installations and site inspections.
• Review shop drawings, submittals and as-built drawings.
• Mentor junior MEP engineers and technicians.
