Placements24 invites a Senior MEP Engineer in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, to lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for innovative, sustainable building projects. You will drive design development, coordinate with architects and structural engineers, and ensure compliance with SA codes.

The role requires a Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 8+ years in MEP, Pr.Eng desirable, and proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech.Eng) is highly desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in MEP design and building services.
• Experience leading MEP design for sustainable projects (Green Star, LEED).
• Proficiency in BIM tools like Revit MEP.
• Strong knowledge of SA building regulations, SANS codes, and standards.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, fire protection, and plumbing.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design and development of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for building projects.
• Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies into MEP systems.
• Prepare detailed MEP designs, specifications, calculations, and drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Conduct feasibility studies, system analysis, and performance modeling.
• Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural elements for seamless integration.
• Manage MEP project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee MEP construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specs and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor and guide junior MEP engineers and technicians.
