National Asphalt (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical assets at the Bon Accord Asphalt Plant. The role involves ensuring safe, efficient operations and guiding technical direction across equipment and plant systems.

The position requires project leadership, budgeting, and compliance with legislation and company policies, with work at sites and workshops as needed.

Qualificações

• 8–10 years' mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial or plant environments.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, asset management, reliability engineering and project management.
• Experience in fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience in budget management, contractor management and technical procurement.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert technical advice on mechanical engineering matters.
• Oversee design, installation, commissioning, modification, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and equipment designs.
• Lead maintenance programmes and monitor asset performance and lifecycle costs.
• Manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, with budgets and schedules.
