Placements24 are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of complex assemblies in Mahikeng. You will bring concepts to production readiness, ensuring robust and manufacturable solutions.

The role requires a strong CAD/FEA background, 8+ years of experience, and the ability to work with R&D, manufacturing and QA teams in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CATIA and FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of new mechanical products from concept to production.
• Create 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Perform stress and thermal analyses to validate designs.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and QA teams.
• Prepare BOMs and design documentation.
