Job summary

Qualified candidates should have at least 7 years' experience in the meat industry, experience as a block man, and a background in production management. A Code B license and own transport are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in the meat industry.
• Qualified and experience as a block man.
• Experience as a production manager for 5 or more years in a similar role.
• Computer literate with knowledge of recipes and block tests utilizing software.
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel is important.
• Own transport and Code B license required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all meat processing in high through put meat butchery and deli.
• Manage block men under his care as well as processing and packaging of meat.
• Plan meat orders and processing.
• Manage stock and minimize waste.
