Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead a Port Elizabeth production facility. The role entails overall operational performance, including planning, resource allocation, quality assurance, and team leadership.

You will drive efficiency, implement best practices, and align activities with strategic and financial goals. This senior position requires extensive industry experience, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering results in manufacturing

Qualifications

• Extensive manufacturing management experience.
• Strong production planning, supply chain, and quality management knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Proven budgeting and cost-control abilities.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material intake to finished goods dispatch.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets, cost reductions, and quality improvements.
• Manage budgets, resources, and personnel effectively to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of high performance.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant using Lean and Six Sigma.
