Job summary

GPW in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead financial reporting, budgeting and compliance functions within the organisation. You will manage revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities, provide strategic guidance to senior management, and ensure PFMA/Treasury compliance across the finance division.

You will coordinate monthly/quarterly reports to the CEO and business units, oversee financial controls, and drive improvements in reporting systems and processes to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management or Finance (NQF level 7) and Grade 12.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience at Assistant Director level in financial/accounting.
• Valid driver’s licence; willing to travel.
• Knowledge of PFMA, National Treasury Regulations, prescripts, cost accounting and business practices.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Monitor revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities.
• Ensure PFMA and Treasury Regulations compliance across the GPW.
• Provide strategic guidance to directors and CEO on reporting, compliance and regulatory matters.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting systems and financial controls.
• Review directorate policies and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Coordinate audit responses and reporting to support annual plans.
