Job summary

GPW in Pretoria seeks a Deputy Director in Facilities Management with a strong background in property and maintenance services. The role requires deep knowledge of M&E, risk management, compliance, and the Public Service Regulatory Framework.

Travel and extended hours may be required, with a valid driver’s licence. The incumbent will manage the provisioning of property and office services, oversee contract management and lease arrangements, and develop comprehensive maintenance and improvement

Qualifications

Requires Grade 12 and a degree equivalent to NQF 7 in Build environment/Facilities/Property management.
GCC certification is advantageous.
Min 5 years at deputy director level in facilities management.
Knowledge of Public Service Regulatory Framework; risk, planning, compliance and management methodologies.
Ability to communicate with all management levels; willing to travel; valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

Manage provisioning of property management services.
Oversee provisioning of property maintenance services.
Develop and implement a Facilities Management Maintenance Plan or Improvement Programme for the GPW.
Oversee contract management, SLAs, and stakeholder relationships.
Coordinate office allocation, refurbishment and lease management in GPW.
Manage rendering of office services and accommodation planning; OH&S compliance.
Oversee waste disposal, cleaning, parking and fleet management services.
Develop, maintain and implement departmental facilities strategies and procedures.
